Why is it important?
Your company will certainly want to avoid employees having access to systems after their last day of work. Unfortunately, many still use joint accounts, which are often not reset when an employee quits - and thus, without your knowledge, they can still have access after employment ends. 🔥
Our recommendations:
Deactivate passwords in the browser so that it is not possible to save codes directly in Chrome, Edge, Firefox etc.
Instead, use a central company-controlled password manager to keep security at its peak. In this way, you avoid accidental data leaks because, for example, an employee uses his work computer for his personal Gmail and just presses the wrong button.
Regular check: Check access to your systems at least once a year as part of your annual review, so that Overlooked employees are removed on an ongoing basis.

PS We haven't even mentioned how browser add-ons can have full access to the websites you visit - and can read or change everything - without you knowing. More on that in a later post!
